These Terms and Conditions govern applications for, enrolment in and participation in programmes provided under the Ressel Academy brand.
1. Provider

Registered office: Opletalova 4, 110 00 Prague, Czech Republic

Hereinafter referred to as “Ressel Academy”, “Academy”, “we”, “us” or “our”.
2. Nature of Ressel Academy
Ressel Academy provides Czech-language education, professional adaptation, workplace preparation, employer-readiness activities and related support for qualified international workers.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Ressel Academy:
is not the participant’s employer;
is not a Czech immigration authority;
does not issue visas, residence permits or work authorisations;
does not guarantee employment;
does not guarantee an interview, employment offer or particular employer;
does not guarantee visa, residence or Employee Card approval;
does not guarantee recognition of foreign qualifications;
does not replace statutory professional recognition, licensing or registration requirements applicable to regulated professions.
Any decision concerning immigration, residence or work authorisation is made by the competent public authorities.
Any decision concerning employment is made independently by the relevant employer.
3. Eligibility
Applicants must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information.
Ressel Academy may assess, among other matters:
professional background;
qualifications;
professional experience;
current immigration or residence situation;
language level;
programme suitability;
employer requirements;
ability to participate safely and lawfully.
Submission of an application does not create a right to admission.
Ressel Academy may accept or reject an application where reasonably justified by programme capacity, suitability, legal requirements, employer requirements, incomplete information or other legitimate operational considerations.
4. Application Process
Submitting an initial application is free of charge unless expressly stated otherwise.
Applicants should not submit passports, identity documents, medical records or other sensitive documentation through the initial application form unless specifically requested through an authorised Academy process.
After review, Ressel Academy may:
request additional information;
invite the applicant to an interview;
request evidence of qualifications or professional experience;
issue a conditional offer;
issue an enrolment offer;
decline the application.
5. Formation of the Enrolment Contract
An application alone does not create an enrolment contract.
A binding enrolment contract is formed only when the applicant:
receives a written enrolment offer or Enrolment Agreement from Ressel Academy;
accepts the applicable contractual terms; and
completes any required payment or other acceptance step stated in the offer.
The individual Enrolment Agreement or written programme offer will prevail over these general Terms where it expressly provides different programme-specific conditions.
6. Programme Options
Ressel Academy may offer different programme pathways, including:
16-Week Core Programme — an intensive programme combining Czech language, professional adaptation and employer readiness.
24-Week Extended Programme — the Core Programme together with an extended period of practical integration, continued accommodation and/or employer-linked preparation where applicable.
Programme structure may vary according to occupation, participant readiness, employer availability and lawful residence or work status.
7. Programme Content and Timetable
Published programme descriptions are indicative of the intended curriculum and learning experience.
Ressel Academy may reasonably adjust:
sequencing of modules;
teachers or instructors;
daily timetables;
classroom assignments;
employer events;
site visits;
assessments;
delivery methods;
practical activities;
where necessary for educational, operational, safety, legal or employer-related reasons.
Such reasonable changes do not constitute a material breach provided the overall nature and purpose of the enrolled programme are maintained.
8. Attendance and Conduct
Participants are expected to:
attend scheduled activities punctually;
actively participate;
follow Academy rules;
behave respectfully toward staff, other participants, employers and third parties;
follow health and safety requirements;
comply with Czech law;
comply with lawful rules applicable at accommodation and employer premises.
Ressel Academy may issue attendance requirements as part of the Enrolment Agreement.
Repeated unjustified absence, serious misconduct, violence, harassment, theft, fraud, intoxication during programme activities, deliberate safety breaches, falsified documentation or unlawful activity may result in suspension or termination.
Any termination remains subject to applicable mandatory law and the individual contractual circumstances.
9. Professional Qualifications
Participants remain responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of qualifications, licences and experience they present.
Ressel Academy may verify documents or request verification by relevant institutions.
The Academy may suspend or terminate participation if documents are materially false, altered, misleading or fraudulently obtained.
Ressel Academy certification, attendance confirmation or completion documentation does not, unless expressly stated otherwise, constitute:
a Czech state-recognised occupational qualification;
recognition of a foreign qualification;
professional licensing;
registration with a professional chamber;
work authorisation.
10. Employer Interaction
Employer interaction may include:
presentations;
interviews;
site visits;
qualification reviews;
practical assessments;
workplace orientation;
employer-linked practical integration.
Availability and timing depend on participant readiness, occupation and employer availability.
An employer may independently decline, postpone or discontinue interaction with any participant.
Ressel Academy makes no warranty that participation will result in employment.
11. Practical Integration and Employer-Based Activities
Where appropriate, an extended programme may include Academy-organised practical integration connected with a potential future employer.
Such activities may include permitted forms of:
workplace orientation;
observation;
technical familiarisation;
safety preparation;
terminology training;
demonstrations;
supervised educational or non-productive activities.
Activities must be structured according to the participant’s lawful residence and work status.
Participation in an educational or integration activity does not itself confer a right to work.
Participants must not perform productive employment where they do not possess the legally required authorisation.
Actual employment may begin only when legally permitted.
Ressel Academy may alter, postpone or discontinue employer-based activities where necessary to comply with Czech law, public-authority requirements or employer requirements.
12. No Guarantee Regarding Immigration
Ressel Academy may provide administrative information and programme-related documents but does not make immigration decisions and does not guarantee immigration outcomes.
The participant remains responsible for:
submitting accurate immigration applications;
meeting deadlines;
attending appointments;
providing required documents;
maintaining lawful status;
complying with visa and residence conditions;
complying with travel rules.
Information provided by Ressel Academy regarding immigration is general administrative information unless expressly provided by a suitably qualified authorised professional.
Changes in Czech or EU immigration law, embassy practice, appointment availability, processing times or government policy are outside Ressel Academy’s control.
13. Government and Third-Party Decisions
Ressel Academy is not responsible for decisions, delays or actions of:
embassies;
consulates;
Czech ministries;
immigration authorities;
labour authorities;
foreign authorities;
employers;
accommodation providers;
airlines;
insurers;
banks;
qualification-recognition authorities;
professional bodies;
other independent third parties.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by mandatory law.
14. Fees
The applicable programme price will be stated in the applicant’s enrolment offer or Enrolment Agreement.
Unless otherwise stated, the fee may cover specified combinations of:
Czech-language training;
professional adaptation;
Academy support;
learning essentials;
shared accommodation;
applicable extended-programme support.
Meals, personal expenses, travel, insurance, government charges, visa or residence fees, professional-recognition fees and other third-party costs are not included unless expressly stated.
15. Accommodation
Where accommodation is included, it normally means shared-room accommodation unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Accommodation may be provided directly or through a third-party accommodation provider.
Participants must comply with house rules and reasonable accommodation requirements.
Ressel Academy may substitute accommodation with reasonably comparable accommodation where necessary.
A specific building, room, roommate, exact address, room layout or other accommodation preference is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed in writing.
16. Payment
Payment deadlines and methods are stated in the enrolment offer or invoice.
The participant is responsible for ensuring funds are received by the stated deadline.
Bank charges, currency-conversion charges and other payment-provider charges may be borne by the payer unless otherwise stated.
Ressel Academy may suspend enrolment where an undisputed required payment remains overdue.
17. Consumer Withdrawal Right
Where a consumer concludes the enrolment contract at a distance, including online, the consumer may have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within the applicable legal withdrawal period, subject to Czech law and statutory exceptions.
Where the consumer expressly requests that services begin during that period, the consumer may be required to pay the proportionate price for services already provided if they subsequently withdraw.
Where the service has been fully performed during the withdrawal period following the consumer’s prior express request and acknowledgement as required by law, the withdrawal right may cease.
Nothing in these Terms restricts a mandatory statutory withdrawal right.
18. Cancellation by the Participant
Outside any mandatory statutory withdrawal right, cancellation and refund entitlement will be governed by the applicable Enrollment Agreement and Refund Policy.
Amounts representing non-refundable third-party expenditure already properly committed on behalf of the participant, including accommodation reservations where applicable, may be deducted where legally permissible and where this was disclosed before contract formation.
19. Visa or Residence Refusal
A refusal of a visa, residence permit or employment authorisation does not mean that Ressel Academy made or caused that decision.
Any refund following an immigration refusal will be determined by the Refund Policy and individual Enrolment Agreement, subject to mandatory law.
The participant may be required to provide an authentic official refusal decision.
No refund will be due to the extent legally permissible where refusal results from matters attributable to the applicant, including:
false or misleading information;
forged documentation;
failure to attend appointments;
failure to provide required documents;
breach of immigration rules;
undisclosed material circumstances;
failure to cooperate with the application process.
20. Cancellation or Changes by Ressel Academy
Where Ressel Academy materially cancels a programme before commencement, it will offer an appropriate remedy consistent with applicable law, which may include:
transfer to another intake;
an alternative programme;
credit;
refund of amounts attributable to unprovided Academy services.
Ressel Academy is not responsible for unrelated consequential expenditure unless required by mandatory law.
21. Force Majeure and Events Outside Reasonable Control
Ressel Academy will not be responsible for failure or delay caused by events outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, epidemic restrictions, war, civil disturbance, strikes, infrastructure disruption, government restrictions, immigration-policy changes, closure of premises or serious interruption of essential services.
The Academy will take reasonable steps to reduce disruption.
Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
22. Agencies, Recruiters and Intermediaries
No recruiter, educational consultant, agency, representative, employer or other third party has authority to:
guarantee admission;
guarantee a visa or residence permit;
guarantee employment;
promise a salary;
modify Ressel Academy’s fees or refund rules;
waive these Terms;
enter into commitments on behalf of Ressel Academy;
unless such authority is expressly confirmed in writing by an authorised representative of Ersteberg s.r.o.
Ressel Academy is not responsible for unauthorised promises, statements, payments or representations made independently by third parties, except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.
Applicants should make programme payments only through payment instructions officially issued by Ressel Academy.
23. No Agency Relationship
Use of the Ressel Academy name, logo or marketing materials does not by itself create:
agency;
employment;
partnership;
franchise;
joint venture;
authority to bind Ersteberg s.r.o.
Any authorised recruitment or commercial partner must operate under a separate written agreement.
24. Anti-Fraud and Anti-Bribery
Ressel Academy has zero tolerance for forged documents, bribery, corruption, false employment offers or misrepresentation.
The Academy may terminate relationships with applicants, partners or intermediaries reasonably suspected of such conduct and may report suspected unlawful conduct where required or permitted by law.
25. Intellectual Property
Programme materials, presentations, training content, website content, branding, trademarks, graphics and proprietary teaching materials remain the intellectual property of Ersteberg s.r.o. or the applicable rights holder.
Participants receive a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use programme materials for their own learning.
Unauthorised reproduction, resale, publication, commercial distribution or creation of misleading copies is prohibited.
26. Photography and Marketing
Participation in the programme does not automatically constitute consent to identifiable promotional photography.
Where Ressel Academy wishes to use an identifiable participant’s image for marketing purposes, it should obtain appropriate consent or rely on another lawful basis where legally permitted.
27. Liability
Ressel Academy is responsible for performing its contractual obligations with reasonable professional care.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, it is not liable for:
decisions made independently by public authorities or employers;
inaccurate information provided by the participant;
loss caused by participant misconduct;
optional travel or personal arrangements;
consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable at contract formation;
third-party services outside Ressel Academy’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer rights.
28. Complaints
Complaints should first be sent to:
Please include your name, programme and sufficient detail for the matter to be investigated.
Ressel Academy will seek to deal with complaints fairly and within a reasonable period.
29. Alternative Dispute Resolution
Where the participant is a consumer and the dispute falls within its competence, the competent Czech consumer alternative-dispute-resolution body may be used in accordance with applicable law.
The identity and contact details of the competent body should be stated on the website and in the final contractual documentation as required by law.
30. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic.
Where the participant is a consumer, this choice does not deprive the participant of mandatory protections applicable under law.
The competent courts shall be determined in accordance with applicable procedural and consumer law.
31. Severability
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent legally permissible.
32. Amendments
The version of the Terms accepted when an enrolment contract is formed applies to that contract unless the parties validly agree otherwise or a change is required by law.
Changes:
We may update this Terms and Conditions from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.

Ressel Academy provides Czech language and professional adaptation programmes. Immigration and residence decisions are made by the competent Czech authorities, and employment decisions are made by individual employers.
